How should I store my spices?

Accepted Answer

Ideally, you shouldn't! The sooner you use your spices, the fresher and more flavourful they are. This is also why we sell our spices in small quantities - so you can use them quickly and buy more freshly ground.
That said, we know you can't use every spice every day, so we recommend keeping them in a dark, dry cabinet - protected from light, heat, and humidity.

How long will my spices last?

Generally speaking, the sooner you use your spices, the better they taste. Unfortunately, most supermarket spices have changed hands 7+ times and have taken YEARS (yes, years) to reach your supermarket. Therefore, they no longer look or taste the way they did when they were just off the farm.
We source our spices directly from farmer co-operatives, and grind them for you ourselves. Since they reach you at peak freshness, they have a longer shelf life in your kitchen.
